We are a multilingual school that fosters interest and proficiency in acquiring multiple languages from early childhood, with Spanish and English as the primary languages of instruction. Language learning is one of the cornerstones of our curriculum.

Our language acquisition model is based on an almost total immersion approach during early childhood education – a fundamental phase for developing linguistic structures and listening skills. The percentage of instruction students receive in each language becomes progressively more balanced as they advance through the grades.

Third Languages

In addition to English and Spanish, children begin learning German and French from Year 2 of Infant Education. Starting in year 5 of Primary, they choose which of these two languages to continue studying until they achieve fluency.

Furthermore, our students have the opportunity to earn official certifications through recognized examinations: Cambridge exams for English, the Xunta Qualificadora for Valencian, Goethe Institut exams for German, and DELF exams for French.

Magno is an official preparation center and test venue for Cambridge, as well as for Goethe (German) and DELF (French) examinations.

The language distribution across each educational stage is approximately as follows:

Spanish and English Languages

  • Early Years (3-year-olds): 76% English, 24% Spanish
  • Early Years (4- and 5-year-olds): 74% English, 20% Spanish, 3% French, 3% German
  • Primary: 50% English, 33% Spanish, 10% Valencian, 3% French, 3% German
  • Years 1–3 of Secondary: 29% English, 57% Spanish, 9% Valencian, 6% chosen language (French or German)
  • Year 4 of Secondary: 54% Spanish, 31% English, 8% Valencian, 6% chosen language (French or German)

Baccalaureate
As students can choose between two Baccalaureate tracks, the language distribution depends on their selection:

  • Spanish National Baccalaureate (preparation for the Spanish University Entrance Exam): 54% Spanish, 37% English, 8% Valencian
  • Online A-Levels (British curriculum): 100% English

Third and Fourth Languages

  • From Year 2 of Infant Education to Year 4 of Primary: 1 hour of German and 1 hour of French per week
  • From Year 5 of Primary to Year 4 of Secondary: 2 hours per week of German or French (depending on the student’s choice)
